I also wanted to share some more information about the mother...and explain why she was shaved in that picture that I sent. When I got her, she was severely neglected and only weighed 7 pounds (this is while she was nursing 8 kittens!). She had burrs and thorns and trash stuck in her fur and I decided that the best thing to do was to shave her so that she would be more comfortable. It was amazing how gentle she was...it was hard to tell if she was just too exhausted to fight me or if she could somehow sense that I wanted to help her...but she never once hissed or growled or attempted to bite me. She just laid there, gentle and quiet as any cat I've ever seen. She was so sweet! That made finding her a new home very easy and she went to a woman who has taken very good care of her. ~Alison

This is my kitten Fluffer Nutter. She was rescued from a garage where her mom had died. She was bottle fed. You might be able to notice she has extra toes. She is the most lovable and affectionate kitten. ~Lisa

As a note...

Hi everyone! Gheeri's Servant here. Now, I won't be making a habit of this- I know you want to get on with the pics, but I needed to give thanks to a few people. First of all, I would like to thank the Kittenmaster (*gushing*) I can't belive that he/she would consider putting my site up as an alternate for TDK!!!! I mean, it's how can they even compare?! It all started with The Daily Kitten, and I only wish for it to be back up and running! Thank you, Kittenmaster! Second, I would like to thank my friends, always giving support and suggestions, and always blogging their little hearts away. PDJ is not just for ogling pets, it's a support network, and a way to make friends all over the world. Rosie, Dannie, Jan, Donna, and Kat, I love you guys. And last but certainly not least, I would like to thank an anonymous, albeit French, visitor to my site who pointed out to me that there should be no apostrophe in the title of my site. Thanks! I only wish the real owner of this cat had sent this to me so we'd have more info, but alas, it is not this way. Jake is Spots' brother. 5 years old this summer. He had a blood ball in his ear (gross) so his ear is permanently bent. He was born in Newport Rhode Island. The owner was going to give them both to the pound so I saved them. He really only likes me. He deals with others. Weighs about 13.5 lbs. and sleeps on me. Minks (Minky) is a Ragdoll cat. He LOVES to be brushed and demands that I do so at least 6 times a day. His favourite activity is going to meet other people. He strolls into their house like he owns it; politely greets the home owner; then goes to check out their fridge. Sometimes the fridge takes precedence :-) The bottom pic is Minks as a baby. ~Val (also the owner of Saki, Pearl, & Bumbles)
