Simon!

Simon is an adolescent who showed up in our garage one day. After a few days of him hanging around, we realized he was a stray and wanted a home.
We cleaned him up and treated his fleas, he was infested with both fleas and ticks. It turned out he had the softest fur and the sweetest personality!!!
We introduced him to our other cat, Oscar. Oscar gave the thumbs up and from that day on, Simon became a member of the family. He's very outgoing and friendly. He is between 5 and 8 months old. He fits right in and we all love him very much! ~Kim

I too love Simon. Look how good he is with his boy. My son is the same way. Good thing some cats have a tolerance for that. I love the tree picture.

Yes, GS, Toby is just beautiful, too. I wrote a long post for K'sC, but STUPID BLOGGER ate it!! Hope this one makes it.

Simon is a very handsome fellow and I'm not saying that just because I'm partial to the name. He looks like he gets along with your family so well too. Bless you for giving this little guy a wonderful home.

First of all, I love Simon's tail and the faint orange markings. The Mighty Hunter in the tree is a great picture, but the best thing is Simon with his boy. It's amazing that Simon was a stray. He must be so sweet and trusting. Midnight would have her claws in my hair if I did that. How purrfectly lovely that he chose your family!

Awwww, hi Simon! Kim's still out of town for a family reunion! I can't remember when she gets back. I'll find out. I too love Simon. He could be my Marley boy's brother...from another mother! hehe It is great he found his way into Kim and family's lives. He definately knew a good thing when he found it! He is such the handsome boy!

kim - i love simon's markings. perhaps like kat's marley he will darken w/ age. he must truly be a gentle kitty to let your son hug on him that way. lucky you to have a special cat as simon.

Hey Lisa, Ella is a beauty too. Has she been on any of the sites? I see so many kitties and Cats everyday that I lose track?

Well, we'll see if I can post this or not. Kim, I really like your Simon he is one handsome boy. I like the first pic as you can see what he really looks like. I don't think that my cats would let anyone hug them like Simon is letting this young lad hug him. Simon must be one gentle kitty. So glad he gets along with Oscar.

Hi Claire, she was on Kat's Cat but that was a while back. April I think? I'm gonna try to post some new pictures of her on her blog soon (soon as I can use up this roll of film!).

Simon is beautiful. Love the tree picture.

Yesterday, I was a little worried about Marigold. SHE IS FINE! But, she had some bloody diarrhea, so I took both she and Brutus to the vet.

Marigold has:
Clostridiosis
Spore-forming bacteria called Clostridium perfringens cause these infections. These bacteria can be part of the normal gut bacteria, but certain animals may be predisposed to disease-causing infection. Clostridium produce toxins in the digestive system that can cause sudden watery diarrhea that may contain blood or mucus, or alternatively, the bacteria might cause a chronic, intermittent diarrhea.
Treatment consists of antibiotics.

Big sigh of relief. The vet assures me that it is not serious, no threat to her health. I was quite worried and didn't want to worry you too. She started this on Sunday morning. Brutus has some diarrhea, but not bloody. They are both on antibiotics. The only downside to this is that we may have to wait another week before they can safely fly. But, I can tell you that Brutus is now 1lb. 12 oz. and Marigold is 1lb. 2oz. Yippee, they are putting on weight, even little Miss Marigold.
