Icelandic Street Cat

We were taking a walk not far from our hotel in the core of Reykjavik, when this beautiful silver kitty popped out of the bushes to say hello.
It seemed to be enjoying our attention and we sure liked the opportunity to pet a cat, missing ours as much as we were. It hung around for a few minutes, then wandered back into the bushes and off to who-knows-where. ~Donna

Wow, that cat "looks" icelandic. All icy silver. Why didn't you bring him home as a little souvenir? He is a beauty, as was the Farm Cat.

That little guy/girl is adorable! I would've made a couple inquiries to see if it had a good home but, if not, I'd have certainly brought it home. How beautiful! I love that silvery fur.

Definately a beautiful or handsome kitty! Wow! Looks like the guy's kitty on Flickr, Junku. I have a link on Kat's Korner to his site. What big eyes you have Icelandic kitty!

This kitty was chock-full of confidence. I also thought his (her?) silver color was stunning. But it was in excellent condition so I was pretty sure it had a good home.

Directly behind us is a small lake or pond that had ducks in it. I wonder if this kitty ever tried to chase them.

Somehow, I don't think our three would have been too thrilled with this Iceland souvenir LOL!

Toby is similarly colored, but doesn't care for grass. Coincidentally, Gheeri is dark brown, but she LOVES to eat grass. You take such beautiful pictures, Donna! I wish I could have you take my Kitties' pictures professionally! But you're too far away :(

This kitty is absolutely striking. I figure you could use that word for either gender. I would have cat-napped this beauty. I would love to just have pet it.

Just checked out the Hitler cat site, the fourth cat down really should win. How funny.

Donna, those really are great shots of the "icy" cat, really sharp. You can see each little hair in the closeup.

Donna, thanks for sharing this picture. Isn't it wonderful how they seem to find the tourists who are missing their own fursons?? ~ v
