Gizmo

This is Gizmo. It's being sent just for Rosie and her FB's. I don't really like this picture to well as you can't see his pretty eyes. He is suppose to be our daughter's cat but when she left he stayed with us. In a way it was for the best, he is used to being around this place and the other cats. Lori, our daughter, was afraid that if she took him he would get out and get lost, which he probably would do. The bad side of it is, he ignores Lori when she comes over now. He is intimidated by Casper and Cleo, they won't leave him alone. Sometimes Gizmo starts it as if they are just walking by him he strikes out and growls at them. I am the peacemaker. ~Monica

Gizmo is gorgeous! I love lots of fluff, and he sure is a furry one. Really long whiskers too. Does he like to cuddle? I'd like to volunteer.

I love Gizmo, he is so beautiful! Poor Lori, he's giving her the cold shoulder. He looks so cuddly and fluffy but I bet he's a handful! How did he get his name?

Hi Gizmo! OK, I must confess those are some massive FBs! They need to be to support those super-long whiskers. Gizmo is beautiful.

I had to leave my old cat Pippin (RIP) behind when I left home (years ago). I tried taking her with me but she just freaked. Everything scared her. I felt so bad. Mom and Dad agreed to take her back in. Secretly, I don't think they minded at all.

You know, Gizmo sort of looks like a pirate of the Caribean with that "patch" of gray over his eye. Maybe he is really Johnny Depp cat?

Hi Gizmo, what a cute ball of fluff! I'd love to run my fingers through that fluff all day! Poor kitty, always getting picked on by the others, I betcha he's plotting on how to get his revenge.

This day is dragging by so slowly, thankfully its almost over. Get to go home and watch the fireworks on TV tonight! Hopefully they won't be rained out.

Those really are impressive FB's!

Claire--I don't know if he's a pirate or not, but he is as handsome as Johnny Depp! (I like looking at that man as much as I like looking at the kitties!)

So how did Gizmo get his name--from the Gremlins movie? He's as fluffy as Gizmo in that movie!

Karen S. - I'm with you! I could look at Johnny Depp all day! Do you remember 21 Jump Street?! I loved that show and would tape it to watch over and over! Lol!

I think cats should definitely stay with the people to whom they are bonded. Sounds like he wasn't bonded to Lori if he ignores her now. Or he may feel Lori's abandoned him. Re the intercat grumpiness, have you tried talking to each cat? I know--sounds silly. But I found it help with my four. You can also learn to do interspecies communication. My cats are most receptive to what I want to tell them if I work it into a good petting session :-)

Kat--I never watched 21 Jump Street. I think that was when I was living in Germany. (ex-husband in the military)I do watch most of his movies. I took my daughter to see the Pirate movie when it came out. Of course she was gushing in her preteen way over how cute Orlando Bloom and Johnny Depp are. I told her Orlando wasn't my type, but I really liked Johnny. She said "Mom, don't you think you're a little too old for him?" So I asked her just how old she thought he was. She about fell over when she found out he's a year older than me! Kids!! I don't know why she thinks I'm as ancient as the dinosaurs!
