*look in Archives for Joe, Mikes' brother ~GS*
Attached is a picture another of my rats. This is Mike. She's a female rat that my nephew named when he was only one year old. We asked him what the rat was and he said "a monster". He'd been watching Monsters, Inc. a lot during that time, so when we asked him what the monster was called, he said "Mike". That's how we ended up with a female named Mike. :) She's a little more active than Joe, so its hard to get a good picture of her.

Very cute! Mike named after the character in Monsters, Inc. I love it. Besides, Monsters, Inc. is one of my favorite animated movies.

Look at those tiny feet/paws.

Have a great weekend everyone :-)

Aww - cute little "monster"! You can practically see the little nose twitching. Is she a little on the chubby side, or is it just the way she's standing?

Never seen such a cute Monster. Love the pink ears, nose and paws. I guess you would call them paws.

I have a mystery to tell. A couple weeks ago when I went to WinCo in Chico, fifty miles from us, I was putting my groceries in the trunk and I saw something moving and it was a baby mouse. Didn't even have it's eyes open yet. Sorry, but the first thought was kill, but I couldn't do it. My heart melted. Then I moved a paper and there was another one. I didn't know what to do. I looked all over for a mamma. There were no mouse droppings at all in the car at all. I looked inside the car, underneath not one mouse dropping or a mamma. A lady went by and I got her attention and she said maybe you can take them to a pet store and they might have a mouse to nurse them. Good Idea. But I didn't know where any pet stores were in Chico. She said I pass by one on by way home and she offered to take them. I had a grocery paper bag and put them in there and she took them. I pray they had a mamma that would look after them. After I got home my husband Frank and I went competely through the car and never came up with a trace of even a mouse being in the car. The only thing that I could think of was mamma started putting them in the trunk here at the house or at the parking lot at WinCo as I was parked by some brush. A complete mystery and it still is???

Hi pretty Mike! That just sounded Oh well. I really like rats (pet rats that is!) but it is one pet I have not owned. I told Jared if we were to ever own a rodent pet, it would be a rat. I may have already said that, but oh well, I'm saying it again!! I've only owned guinea pigs and hamsters growing up. Had a pony named Hershey Kisses, one lizard, many birds (keets, tiels, conure & a orange winged parakeet), many fish, newts, hermit crabs, dogs, rabbits, and quail. I never had cats growing up, except for Crocket. He was a stray we fed. Yes, I named him after Crocket from Miami Vice.

C.'s Mom, That's weird about the mice. I think, like you figured, the momma must have started moving them there at your house or at the store in Chico. Hope they make it! Have a good weekend everyone!

Kat1, we had two hermit crabs for a while. They were named Cuff and Link. OK, so not so original but they were kind of cute. Unfortunately, they didn't live very long. Perhaps we just didn't know how to take care of them properly.

Casper's Mom--I agree. How weird about the mice. I hope they survive. I know a lot of people are freaked by mice and want to kill them. But when our cats bring one in I just want to save it. The field mice ours catch are just so small and cute.

Mike is certainly a pretty little girl. I knew a girl named Mike years ago, her name was Michaela, after her father (Michael), but we called her Mike. It was a cute name.

I used to have a white lab rat, he was so much fun. I called him Stinky, but he wasn't. Very clean. He loved ice, would get it out of my iced tea and stand there on his back legs and lick it for hours.

Aaaaw, she is cute. I know she is a rat, but rat just seems so harsh sounding for something that cute!
