Bubbles & Mia

This was our Betta fish who my son named, Bubbles (RIP). One of our 1st foster kittens, Mia was checking him out. She was probably thinking...Mmmm, lunch! Anyways, Bubbles got sick or maybe lived out his short life and went to fishy heaven a couple yrs. ago. ~Kat

Sorry it's so late, everyone, but indeed I had A LOT of messeges to sort through. Anyhow, yes, this is from OUR Kat. I think Kat sent this to me before we were really good friends.

Kat, I love how you painted Bubbles' name on there!

Hope you're all good, Fuzz Pack!

And by the way, THIS is a good pic. I like when people send stuff other than dogs and cats (Iknow, there IS a cat there, but thats besides the point!lol)

How cute! My kitties used to love to watch the fish swim round and round, but they never tried to catch him. I no longer have the fish, but I still have 2 huge turtles (they started out the size of quarters and now are the size of cereal bowls). My kitties avoid them.

Yeah, Rita...I was like "dang! She said she was gonna post!" J/K...I love this picture. Thanks GS for posting it! Ewww, that's my potbelly stove. It really shows how rusted and worn it's getting. I guess it needs a paint job! BTW, we don't use it anymore! Pretty much stopped after Danny Boy burnt his feet on it! That was so terrible!! Gives me chills just thinking about it. We had a bunch of friends over and it was around 11:30 pm. We had the stove "cookin"...it was hot on the top! We had shown Danny many times, by holding him and getting close enough to feel the heat. He would lean away and he knew it was hot. Well, just like a kid, he and Marley started romping and chasing each other around the house, and...you guessed it! Danny leaped right on top of it! ::watery eyes right now thinking of it:: He screamed and I ran in there and immediately filled the sink w/cool water and stood him in there. Oh guys...it was so bad. The skin was hanging from his feet!! Luckily, my best friend was there and locked up the house as we rushed Danny to the emergency vet. He was fine after a few weeks of changing bandages, but uhhh. ...So, anyway, cute little Mia...lol. Funny how you can look at a picture and it will bring back a memory totally not related to what the content of the pic is! Do you guys remember the "Snausages" comercial?? [random thoughts By: Kat]

I've been checking PdJ every day even knowing you were gone but just got around to it today!

This is a very cute picture. We've just added an aquarium (tranferred outside pond fish into it). The kitties love it. You can see nose prints on the side of the tank. The "girls" are the most interested, especially Wiley. But so far, no accidents with a caving-in lid or anything. I'll try to get a picture of the fish for PdJ for a future day.

Oh Kat, poor Danny Boy. OMG, I would be hysterical if something like that happened to any of our kitties. Makes me want to guard the kitchen stove even more carefully than I already do.

It's good to have PdJ going again :-)

How sweet. Almost looks like a stuffed kitty sitting there. Real precious.

Was so sorry to hear about Danny Boy. Gizmo got on top of our wood stove once and was so surprised how fast and how far a cat could jump. Fortunately for us he didn't burn his feet like Danny. Guess our stove wasn't cooking hot but it's our source of heat during winter so am glad the rest of the cats stay clear of it. Gizmo stays clear of it now. Casper and Patches love to sleep in the chair that is close to the stove in winter. So glad Danny fully recovered.

Thanks donna! :) My Meeko loved to watch me cook-would sit on the counter as I chopped or whatever....

Bagheera used to try to sniff the desk light on our old computer desk. She would get so close, and one day touched her nose to it. Man, did she jump away from it quickly. The head shaking ensued, and she sniffed it often, but never got that close again. I always wondered what smelled so interesting that she ha to sniff it constantly...

So sorry about Danny Boy. Sometimes they just don't think when they frolick. Gheeri tried to run and jump into the tub while it had water in it once. They just get caught up in the moment, I guess.

Mia does look like a little stuffed kitten, she is so intent on watching Bubbles (love the way you have an arrow to Bubbles, makes it easier to find him in the tank!). It's still kinda hard to see the expression on Bubbles face, wonder if he knew he was being watched? He is on the other side of the tank.

Bubbles is cute. We tried to have fish but lets just say it didn't work out. Mia does look like a stuffie. That must have been horrible about Danny Boy. I would have freaked (like everyone)

GS How's the new addition?

Good so far Dannie... he's still "living" in his big crate in the bathroom. Gheeri makes him nervous, so hes reluctant to leave. I set him up in there with his food water and litterbox, took the door off the crate, and he already had a blankie in there, and he's happy. But I think sooner or later I might be forced to make him come out. It doesn't seem like he's ever going to come out by himself.

I am sure he will come out sooner or later. He can't live in the bathroom forever. Like you said its nerves. Hope he comes out sooner rather than later.
