Alti all growed up, and Rufus

*If anyone remembers, I posted Alti as a kitten some time ago. You can find her in the March Archives! :) Well, Alti has grown up into a beautiful girl, and here she is! Along with her pal, Rufus, from yesterday! Told you it was a 2-part post! P.S. Today starts my work-week cat trivia!!! ~GS*

She's now 8 months old and is still totally enamoured of her Rufus-hound :) She came to me when a coworker brought her and her brothers to the office for a "visit", knowing full well that the animal lovers would quickly adopt them all! You can't really tell in the pictures, but her eyes are two-toned, with a ring of green around the middle. And here they are together! (ignore the messy house!) ~Teresa

OK, since no one got my question, I'm going to put it up here, starting the work-week cat trivia! I will include the hints I've already given at KCotD

Roo (maybe spelled Ryu?) is a Tiger that accompanies a human with powers in a non-cartoon, non-Disney movie from some time in the 80's. What Movie is Roo from?

Oh my gosh. How utterly sweet and adorable. Alti is beautiful--those eyes.

Tch, call that a messy house? It's nothing on mine ;-) Our cats can't stand a clean-vacumed floor. Within minutes, they make sure and shed or otherwise deposit small, light clumps of fur with which to decorate the floor. OK, truth be told, *we're* messier than our cats!

Hi Rufus, Hi Alti. What a wonderful pair.

She knows how to use those eyes, too! The "I'm-innocent-it-was-all-the-dogs-fault" look is quite well known to her! LOL
And yes, she and her Rufus are quite the pair, almost always asleep together.

Ruh is the "black" tiger from Beastmaster!

I thought Alti was all that beautiful gray color, but then I noticed the stripes around the tail. She's gorgeous! I love the picture of the two together. They look like they love each other.

I wish I could play, in regards to the question, but I almost never watched TV when I was a kid and didn't go to the movies till I was in Junior High. I guess it would be cheating to try to Google it...

Karen--I tried Googling it but couldn't come across the right words to search on so it didn't help me. :-)

So GS, is Teresa right?

YAY!!! (Confetti and balloons falling) Teresa got it!!!

In the movie, Roo or Ryu or Ruh (sounds like Roo, though) is one of The Beastmaster's companions, and he's a regular Tiger. In the Show, the "color" him black, as there is no such thing as a black tiger.

Has no one else seen that? Wow. So Teresa wins an imaginary cookie! What flavor would you like? Choc Chip? Oatmeal Raisin? Sugar? I got 'em all!

Haha, when we got our 1st ferret, Bryan and I almost named him Kodo, but we didn't have a Podo, so it would have been pointless, lol. (Teresa should get that).

Donna, go to and look up Beastmaster. They'll probably have it. The WB had the show running, but it got cancelled last year, I think.

Teresa, you should post more often, you've got insight!

Alti and Rufus look like best buddies! What a great picture of the two of them! I love Alti's color! He looks like a kitty that once had me by the name of Oscar. Rufus looks much bigger in this picture than he does in the one from yesterday. They're both so sweet.

Kudos on thr trivia question, that was a great one. I'm shocked that I didn't know it, I've seen the Beastmaster about a gazillion times! Now ask who the ferrets were and I could tell you that. LOL

Sure, everyone knows Kodo & Podo. It's the damned hawks' name I can never remember! Where has kat been?

Alti is just beautiful and I'm glad she has a pal in Rufus. The picture of them together is adorable. My black cat,Emma, has eyes like that too although her littermate, Alex, just has solid green eyes. What a lovely family you have.

I have all sorts of trivia flotsam roaming around in my head - Pat says it is scary sometimes LOL
Rufus is a little small for a lab, but at 60lbs he's the biggest of our pack (there are 4 dogs in all).
THe dark rings on Alti's tail are the only place she has the other color. The rest of her is the silvery grey. She is amazing in sunlight! A friend of ours swears she must have some korat in her somewhere, as unlikely as that is!

Hey, I'm back. Went to lunch w/mom, GS. We were discussing your question over lunch and we had the right movie, but I couldn't think of the title - Beastmaster!! I used to love that movie too. And the movie Konan. Anyway, Alti is beeutiful! I had a black foster kitty w/those same two-toned eyes. Love them! Rufus, do you love your kitty? Or I should say, Alti, do you love your doggie. My Benji loves his doggie(SAmmie) too!

Thats funny, I was going to say the same thing! Especially with the grey nose, she looks VERY Korat-ish!!!! Wow, 60 lbs?! Ru Ru is a BIG boy. I'll stick to my ACD's. LOL, I know what you mean-when it comes to animals, Bry always says I'm loaded with useless animal trivia. haha.

(sigh) I don't know any of those shows or characters (hangs head in shame)...can we have music trivia sometimes?

Blogger Gheeri's Servant said...

hmm, I'm sticking to pets themes, so if the music pertains to a pet, then yes! (if you have any pet-related music trivia, let me know!)

All you guys who go to the movies, ::sigh::, I think the last time I actually went to the movie theater, it was Star Wars--the 1st ones!!

We wait until they hit TV, no Cinemax or HBO either.

I can do cartoon, TV or music animal trivia--but there is much less stored in the old brain than there used to be!!

Rufus and Alti look so happy together--wish my cats liked Shep the Dog better. Flumpy either runs his siren or beats the snot out of the poor dog about once a week, just to remind him who's in charge. Meepsie just picks on him to make him bark--"I didn't do anything, Mumma, The Dog did it!"

My mother's cat, Cleopatra(looks like Max at K'sC)gets along with Amanda, Mom's yellow lab/greyhound; they both sleep in bed with her. Mitzi, the Senior Cat, still HATES the dog, who's only been there for 9 years.
