Baby Hedgehogs

Thanks to *pam* for bringing these to my attention!

Now, I'm sure these grew up to be someones' pets, but sorry, no other info is available.

Is it OK to think they're so ugly they're cute?

That's adorable! I've never seen baby hedgehogs. I'm wondering what they feel like - soft? prickly? Look at those tiny little faces and feet!

WOW! How amazing is that?! I wonder the same thing. Are they soft or prickly? Where did you get this amazing photo? This is just the neatest picture!

Rita, how do you like your new place? Hope all is going well.

Thanks for asking Kim! It's good, for now. It'll do for a few months, but with Gheeri, Pierre (thats what we named the parakeet), and the gecko, PLUS we'll be picking up Steele soon-it's slowly getting even smaller! Oh, and Pam sent this pic to me....

Someone sent this picture to me awhile back in an e-mail...and I just thought it was so unique that I saved it. I'm not sure where it originated, but it's definately not something you see every day...so I thought I'd share it!! The little feet & faces just amaze me, too! Have a good day, everyone :)

I think hedgehogs fall into the "so ugly they're cute" category. I've always liked them for some reason. This is a great photo.

I have a small stuffed toy hedgehog (soft, of course) who travels with me if I go somewhere without Bil. It's a tradition we started some 15 years ago and "Charlie" is still traveling with me when needed.

Oh, I forgot,

Rita, you'd better get a current picture of Steele up just as soon as you get him home or you'll be in big trouble (LOL!).

And, when's the picture of Pierre going to appear on PdJ? (Great name! How did you decide to name him?)

Cheers!

Oh gosh, TRUST ME..... AS SOON as he is settled in (and we give him a new name-his foster mom told me that was his original name-neither us are very fond of the name), we will have pics. Actually, I already have pics of him that his FM sent me, but they were taken while he wasn't "home", so as weird as that sounds, I'm gonna wait until he IS home :)

As for Pierre, I was looking at him one day, and just said,"You know honey, he looks French." We started speaking with a french accent to each other and to the bird and Gheeri (what she must've thought, lol XD) Si I thought Pierre or Jean-Claude were great names for him, and Bryan liked Pierre the best, so he will be known as that henceforth. =^.^=

OK, I'm way behind. Who is Steele? More animals?! Glad to hear Pierre is doing well. Any probs with the Queen? Any more knocking over of the cage?

I also got a picture of these little ones via e-mail but they were presented to me as baby porcipines. Whatever, I think it's just fine to think that they are so ugly they are cute.

OK, I get that Steele is a cat because Rosie used FB's and fuzz in the same sentence. I can't wait to see him. Is he named for Remington Steele? OK, please tell me you're old enough to know who that is! LOL!

I remember Remington Steele as well. :-)

Two new photo albums on ironcats.com: Wiley's first album; and one from 2001 with pictures containing both Maddie and Kona.

OK, 1st, Kat, I DIDN'T EVEN REALIZE!!!! LOL, thanks for bringing that to my attention! I didn't put 2 and 2 (or 3 and 3!) together.

2nd, Kim, Steele is a Maine Coon that we are picking up from his foster mom in Savannah, Georgia. He's a rescue kitty, and we're going to get him real soon! And there is no knocking of the cage over any more, because we put the cage on the floor XD (I know, we're cheaters)

3rd, casper's mom, I would have left it, except that I know they ARE baby hedgehogs, as porcupines are not able to curl up, only hedgehogs are capable of that :)

4th, Rosie, do not pick on Steele! FB's or no FB's!! I know he's got big ones, but no bullying!

5th, kim again, I think Steele was named because he is silver with dark silver stripes, like steel can be. And I DO remember Remington Steele! My cousin made me watch so many reruns, she is in love with Pierce Brosnan :p

Thanks GS for straightening me out on that they are really hedgehogs. I really wouldn't have known that. I'm not up to date on hedgehogs. Some of the e-mail that comes through sometimes just isn't true. I'm actually glad to learn something new today. Thanks again.
