Sammie and Lily

This is my dog Sammie w/one of our 1st foster kittens Lily. Lily and her six other siblings were left on one of our fosters porch in a carrier. One of Lily's brothers was already dead and everyone else was sick. Lily and Charlie were near death's door, but the foster named Laura nursed them & the others back to health. They were all adopted in to great homes. Sammie wishes she was a momma cat.

How sad for the poor babies! It's horrible to hear about people abandoning helpless animals! I'm glad the little ones who survived have good homes now. This is such a sweet picture - I love dogs and cats cuddling together!

You're welcome! I think it's my home computer... it's slower than the one at work. I LOV BIG SCRUFFY DOGS!!! I want a "Winn-Dixie" if you know what I mean!

We need to think of a word for doggies equivalent to what Fuzz is to cats. I asked Rosie about it on TDK.

This is a great picture! Sammy is saying "This is my baby, Lily. Isn't she cute? She looks like my husband's side of the family!" LOL! I know, that was corny. I'm a "Far Side" type of girl!

This really is a wonderful shot. Sammy is so cute and so is Lily!

Kat1 and Rita, I find that I have to do a Control+Reload to get the new image to display. Since this seems to happen to all of us, it just may be the Blogger server.

As for Sammie and Lily...what an adorable picture. "Mixed species" photos are always so neat.

I just don't know if I could be a foster. How do you let them go after you've had them in your house for, oh, say 5 minutes?

What a pretty Sammie-Girl. It's obvious she was well-raised and does a wonderful job of kitten sitting. Maybe I can meet her and her mother next time I'm in VA. BCH.

I know I can't foster. I have a hard enough time getting out of PetsMart without grabbing up all the shelter babies and taking them home with me. My volunteer work, as a "Kitten Tamer" at our local Humane Society is very rewarding, but Paul checks my car before I leave home to make sure I don't have a carry-basket with me.

For those of you who heard about The Great Mousie Hunt--it is over. When I got up this morning, Mousie was artistically draped(dead) across my slipper. I only deal with live things in the house(usually mice, small snakes, and so far, only one bird), so I yelled for Paul to get rid of it! Meepsie is still VERY TIRED.

How cute!!!
I keep telling my husband that the kitties have been asking for a doggie, but he doesn't believe me. He says I have to wait for the kitties to go to heaven before I can have a doggie. :o(
So I will have to just enjoy the ones on the Pet du jour! :o)
